Eleanore Burt Beasant was born in Bay Roberts in 1867 to William and Eliza (LeDrew) Beasant. She’d moved to Little Bay by 1889 where she worked as a Church of England school teacher. It was likely there that she met Horace Montague Herbert. The pair were married at Pilley’s Island in 1894. She died in Miller Town in 1914.
