The Town

This is a shot of the town taken after the fire showing the smaller village that remained.

I can place the Neptune in Little Bay in 1889
Often credit as Tilt Cove, I believe this to be an 1890 shot of Seary (or Sirius) shaft. The first shaft sunk in Little Bay

Captain's Pond
This is Captain John Stewart's house.
I'm pretty confident this was the Little Bay Hotel.
This one in in the Fire Hall. It's a shot of churches on the hill over the Bight taken from the otherside - looking toward the Bight from the mine.
This is Magistrate Blandford's house and Paymaster Lind's house.
This one is still between 1878 and 1886
This is a photo by Simeon H. Parsons from 1884 or 1885.
The first church built in Little Bay in 1879. It was originally Presbyterian but given by the Presbyterians to the Methodists as the town's demographs changed. The photographer was Robert Edward Holloway and the picture was taken in 1900.
