The Taylor family first appears in my Little Bay records in 1879. George Taylor and family are found living in The Bight. James Taylor is present by 1882 and can be found living at The Mines. In 1884 a miner named Stanley Taylor was injured at work by a falling hammer. My last reference to the family in town comes from 1892 with the marriage of George’s widow Ester Sarah (Kendall) Taylor to Edward Paddock.
